Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled transportation ORAT Consultant II Manager to join ICM Federal Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation planning, project management, and analysis.

Position Overview

ICM is recruiting a candidate to fill the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Logistics andMove/Mobilization Coordinator. The successful candidate will manage and oversee the logistics,move & mobilization, planning, developing, coordination, and scheduling of all operationalreadiness activities for a variety of LAWA’s CIP projects and its stakeholders.

The goal of the AOR program is to ensure that a diverse collection of equipment, systems andoperational procedures are tried, tested and fully capable of delivering a smooth and efficientoperation on opening day for airport facility activations.

Responsibilities/Essential Job Duties

  • Manage and coordinate the move and mobilization activities in collaboration with all team members, stakeholders, and relevant agencies.
  • Manage space logistics and change initiatives, which include driving process improvements across LAWA projects and stakeholders.
  • Develop move and mobilization plans for major LAWA CIP projects.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and collaboration.
  • Participate in and support planning of the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Program.
  • Review the design documents and specifications of facilities and systems and assess operational requirements for select CIP projects.
  • Assist in the collection, review, and modification of standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in developing orientation and familiarization training courses that cover generic facility spaces, functions, and systems, and individual stakeholder requirements.
  • Assist in developing trial scripts and ensure alignment of these by applicable system or function.
  • Coordinate operational readiness activities with applicable stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the AOR Subject Matter Experts on the execution of operational readiness assignments.
  • Submit weekly activity efforts and status reports to the AOR Manager.

Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in an airport operational setting is required.
  • Experience in change management and optimization of project management processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices for airport systems.
  • Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
  • Proven leadership and management capability is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction, Planning, or related fields; preferred with a concentration in coordination and logistics; or related field.

Hardware/Software Knowledge

  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Prolog, Outlook, Office 365, Bluebeam, video training aides.

Project-Specific Requirements/Notes

  • A minimum of two years’ experience at level within a similar role.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proven team management skills with effective communication across functions.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices for airport systems.
  • Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
  • Proven leadership and management capability is required.
  • Conduct business in a professional manner, keeping the client and projects at the forefront of every day’s priority.
